Notable volumes include the 2nd edition of Thoresby’s Ducatus Leodiensis, Whitaker’s expanded edition Leodis and Elmete and Allen’s New and complete history of the county of York.

Majority of records cover the post-war period from the mid-1940s up to mid-2000s, geographically covering Leeds, West Yorkshire and the wider county. Includes Society published journals, minutes and agenda of WYSA ruling body, lease of premises, articles of association, accounts, trusts and scholarships.
The 'Dixie' bucket or pail was used in army kitchens and for dispensing food and drink. This example was left on site after the army training facilities left the Beckett Park and it reverted back to a college.
