Heath Grammar School is located in Halifax.The Free Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth at Heath, near Halifax. The school was founded by Dr, John Favour. The Favour family gave land for the school in Skircoat Green. Notable scholars were Laurence Stern, 1713-1768 (novelist and clergyman) and Sir Matthew Smith, 1879-1959 (Artist).

Anecdotally, collected during the tenure of Professor Simon Lee. The former Principals' House was used as guest accommodation for visitors to the University. This item formed part of a display of interesting items associated with the history of the University. The provenance of this admission book is not known nor is its supposed connection to the University.
